Our client is an expanding, dynamic consultancy dedicated to delivering innovative and sustainable structural engineering solutions across a diverse range of sectors.

Based in a friendly and collaborative work environment, they offer an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and driven Structural Engineer to join their team.

The Role
As a Structural Engineer with 3-5 years of experience, you will be responsible for contributing to a variety of building structure projects, using your skills to design in all structural materials, including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.

The role involves preparing hand calculations, producing design solutions, and liaising with clients, contractors, and project teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analysis of building structures in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber
• Preparation of hand calculations and detailed design solutions
• Proficient use of Tekla for design and modelling
• Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to deliver projects to the highest standard
• Support senior engineers in the preparation of technical reports and calculations
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to decision-making
• Assist in the preparation of project specifications and tender documentation

Key Requirements

• Excellent computer literacy, including familiarity with relevant design software and tools
• Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating strong collaboration and communication skills
• Actively working towards Chartered status (IStructE or ICE)
• Passion for delivering high-quality, sustainable design solutions
• Ambitious with a desire to grow and progress within a supportive and training-focused environment
