Senior Structural Engineer

£50,000 - £55,000 plus benefits

Our client is an established firm of Civil, Structural and Geotechnical Consulting Engineers with extensive experience of Railways, Buildings, Roads, Bridges and Waterways. The practice has enjoyed steady growth with works carried out throughout the UK from their network of offices.

Project sectors include: Buildings, Rail, Bridges, Temporary Works and Embankments & Earthworks Design.

They are currently experiencing strong growth with exciting opportunities and are looking for a flexible, practical engineer who can grow with the company to achieve the goals of the business in parallel with their personal ambitions.

The role:

• Design of civil and structural schemes and review of schemes prepared by others;
• Carrying out inspections and surveys of structures and preparing reports;
• Preparation of project programmes;
• Take ownership of projects within your remit, interacting with the other Engineers and Technicians within your team.

About you:

• Relevant Civil/Structural Engineering degree (BEng or MEng ideally);
• 5+ years’ experience in structural engineering;
• Experienced in using engineering software;
• Full UK driving licence and own transport preferred;
• Eligible to live and work in the UK and high standard of written English;
• The ideal candidate should be proactive, intuitive, and happy to work on their own initiative as well as being a team player and interacting comfortably with the other staff members.
