Two post-doctoral opening in digital economics / regulation of digital activities / economics of data-sharing. The post-doctoral fellows will be working with a group of researchers specialized in the economic, political, and legal analyses of the digital transformation with a strong interest for data-sciences. The positions are funded by two research partnerships, one with the European Commission, one with a European industry association. The first one deals with the regulation of digital activities, focusing on the organizational arrangements requested to design and implement effective policies, considering the various domains of regulation — platforms, AI, medias, etc. —, and the specificities of institutional contexts. The second one deals with the development of data-sharing ecosystems, exploring the engagement/adoption processes for stakeholders, the business models of intermediaries, the uses cases and their related “market design”, the role of public policies.

Contract
In line with French standards, the Post-Doctoral Researcher will be paid 29k€ net/year (subject to adjustments based on experience and family context), which includes social coverage.
The successful candidate will be offered a 12-month fixed-term contract, extendable up to 2 years.
Starting Month: Flexible, from December 2024 to February 2025
PROFILE
The successful candidates must have a solid background either in economics or management in one or several of the following fields: digital markets and business models, digital governance and regulation, innovation studies, organization studies. The candidate should also demonstrate a solid expertise in applied research and should be interested in deriving policy/strategy recommendations from his/her research. The post-doctoral fellows will be working in a team made of researchers in economics and management with a strong interest for data-sciences. They will be expected to contribute to the analysis of existing databases, and to the development of additional ones. The postdoctoral fellows will also be involved in the organization of seminars and working groups and might also be asked to contribute to dissemination initiatives. A taste for teamwork and an interest in collaborating with practitioners are essential.
- PhD in Economics or Management, with a significant focus on quantitative methods. An expertise in digital economics and/or political economy/economics of institutions and organizations, will be a plus.
- Linguistic skills: The working language of the multi-cultural team is English. Fluency in oral and in written English is a must. French is not mandatory but will be considered as an advantage.
