Senior Associate Civil Engineer

A leading multidisciplinary A/E firm with deep roots in the Northeast is expanding its Western NY footprint — and they’re looking for an experienced Senior Associate Civil Engineer to help lead the charge.

💡 What You’ll Be Doing:

As the Western NY Civil Lead, you’ll take ownership of site/civil projects — from concept to construction. Your work will include:

• Leading roadway design, site layout, stormwater management, zoning analysis, and utility coordination

• Presenting designs to local planning boards, utilities, and municipal authorities

• Overseeing site investigations, design reviews, and construction administration

• Managing proposals, budgets, client relationships, and revenue forecasting

• Mentoring junior engineers and shaping the future of the Buffalo-based team

• Driving business development across Western NY in collaboration with senior leadership

🛠 Key Requirements:

• B.S. in Civil Engineering (P.E. required – NY state)

• 12+ years in site/civil design, with a strong track record in project delivery and client leadership

• Experience working with NYSDOT, county DOTs, DPWs, and local municipalities

• Expertise in AutoCAD; Civil 3D or Microstation a plus

• Skilled in managing teams, leading presentations, and collaborating across disciplines

• Entrepreneurial mindset — you enjoy building relationships and growing practices
