Piping Draftsperson (Plant 3D ,E3D /PDMS) Training on E3D offered. Contract Inside IR35 Ellesmere Port Nr Chester ( WFH 2 days ) Rate negotiable Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Piping Draftsperson with ideally expertise in either E3D or PDMS software to join our client’s team in the North West of England. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the design and development of Piping / Mechanical systems for our client’s nuclear industry projects. The company is going through an exciting period of expansion with new very large projects appearing. As a Piping Designer, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful execution of design projects, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements. The client operates in a very security sensitive part of the nuclear industry and there is a requirement to gain SC level security clearance a process which is currently taking 6-8 weeks months to achieve for a UK passport holder. DATS are currently working on behalf of their client, a renowned engineering solutions provider, to find a skilled and motivated Pipework Draftsperson. The successful candidate will be based at the client's office in Chester and will be responsible for producing technical drawings, plant layouts, and supporting the creation of detailed designs in line with the client's functional requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team and contribute to exciting engineering projects. Key Responsibilities: • Create overview and detailed drawings using commercially available CAD programs (e.g., AutoCAD 3D ,Plant 3D, E3D/PDMS, Siemens NX). • Generate material masters and parts lists in SAP R3. • Produce layout drawings for plant process areas. • Develop and modify pipework model designs in collaboration with the Pipework Design Engineer. • Create Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for plant process systems. • Prepare technical documentation for internal and external customers. • Archive pipework manufacturing documents systematically. • Present designs to internal stakeholders and external customers. • Participate in single and multi-discipline Design Reviews. Qualifications & Experience: • Completed training in a technical profession. • Strong understanding of technical drawings and drafting techniques. • Experience working with PDMS draft and E3D drawings. • Experience with SAP R3 and creating technical documents is advantageous. • A structured, reliable, and result-oriented work ethic. • High degree of teamwork, motivation, flexibility, and organisational capability. • Proficiency in written and spoken English. • Proficient in using MS Office tools. • Knowledge of German language is advantageous. • Willingness to undertake UK and overseas travel. • SC security clearance (or the ability to obtain).
