Engineering Service Manager - (Data Centre) Monday to Friday - 8am - 5pm We are currently collaborating with a leading provider of facilities management services. With over 43,000 employees, they serve a broad clientele that includes large corporations, government agencies, and public sector organisations. Scope: The Engineering Manager will ensure all aspect of Technical Operations are delivered through a structure of robust processes, procedures, and associated policies, as aligned with our client’s strategic technical delivery. Purpose: The Engineering Manager will provide technical support and oversight, ensuring that all Health and Safety, Statutory and Technical Standards are implemented and upheld to the highest standards Key Responsibilities * Ensure the Safe Systems of Work governance, process and procedure are trained, implemented, operated, and upheld to the highest standard. * Ensure all statutory requirements, governance, process, and procedure are trained, implemented, operated, and upheld to the highest standard. * To be the overall owner of the site from a management point of view and ensure all site technical deliverables are completed on time, the site is compliant with statutory regulations. Technical Compliance * In line with an agreed program undertaken routine compliance audits, ensuring all engineering activities are aligned with current legislation and codes of practice. * Conduct audits to ensure compliance with the safe systems of work and in order to identify opportunities for improvement in areas of engineering excellence. * Provide technical support to the Technical Facilities Manager, in line with on- going key contract deliverables. * To obtain AP status in relevant discipline for assigned site. * To provide out of hours support for incident management and escalation. * Ensure the effective management and monitoring of closed water systems and domestic water systems is undertaken and maintained in line with the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 & Statutory compliance requirements. * Ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and, all documentation is maintained providing accurate records/documentation associated with all engineering requirements. * To provide regular compliance reporting to Client, ensuring all actions are both recorded and a robust process for completion is implemented and regularly reviewed. * Provide technical advice to Client external auditors, whilst ensuring all engineering related matters are closed in a structured manner. * On-going review and implementation of appropriate internal management controls to ensure full compliance with client and company procedures, policies, codes and regulations. This will include, but is not restricted to monthly reports, H&S regimes, implementation of contract processes to meet the requirements of the Business. * Be the point of contact for all site related tasks, utilising his shift team to ensure all works are completed on time, in budget and safely. * Promote H&S ethos. General * The Engineering Manager will provide effective and structure communication with operations team, clients and key stakeholders to ensure all matters with potential to impact the business are communicated in a timely manner. * Provide professional, specialist and technical instruction and advice in support of the onsite team, supply partners/service providers and colleagues across the company Network. * Management of all sub-contractors, ensuring adherence to their performance management measures and KPI’s. * Responsible for all aspects of technical reporting, as aligned with the KPI’s and associated performance management measures. * Deal with customer enquiries and complaints, reporting actions taken to line management. Undertake follow up actions required to resolve situational circumstances for which you have been authorised to undertake. * Oversee all maintenance activities and ensure all safety aspects are managed and monitored in accordance with site procedures and produced RAMS. Engineering manager Skills * IOSH Managing Safely * 17th or 18th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers (I.E.T) Registration or recognised equivalent * C&G Electrical / Mechanical services qualification or equivalent * Conversant with a wide range of building service systems and equipment. * Sound Electrical and Mechanical knowledge. * Be conversant with current Health and Safety legislation with relevance to safe working practices. * Experience with fault diagnosis, rectification. * Experience in the Electrical aspects of general building PPM schedules * Experienced in electrical installation work, plus electrical testing, and inspection Job Type: Permanent. Salary: £62000 - £67300/annum Car allowance + 10% Bonus.
