Electrical Engineer We are excited to be supporting the Electrical team of our global technology client with recruitment of an Electrical Engineer to join the team at their UK Headquarters in Weymouth. About the Company * A Technology Leader; the world's largest hardware and software equipment supplier in the electronics industry * Over 1400 high technology patents * Over 14,00 employees across 30 countries * Annual Group sales: $ 2.49 billion The Opportunity Their Electrical Engineering Team are currently recruiting an Electrical Engineer, who will be responsible for providing electrical engineering support on ASM projects. You will: * Conduct of and support for tests on functional samples and prototypes. * Develop concepts into detailed designs via the creation of the necessary development and manufacturing documents, ensuring design compliance with the defined quality, cost, standards and schedule requirements * Detailed specification of the electrical and electronic assemblies for the machines and their modules Calculation/optimization and dimensioning of the electrical components * Contribute to the creation of concepts for the development of actuator, sensor, PCs, control, regulation and communication assemblies and power supply units for printing machines and peripheral devices whilst ensuring compliance with the defined quality, cost, standards & schedule requirements. * Definition of the requirements of the electrical and electronic assemblies. To be developed together with other groups/departments. About You Along with demonstrating the experience and knowledge of an electronic and electrical background, we want to hear from individuals with: * Qualified to a degree or equivalent level (preferably in Electronic, Automation/Kinematics, Electrical or related discipline) * Confidence in using CAD systems (e.g. ePlan, FastCAD, Altium) & Team Centre * Knowledge of the product creation processes * Ability to work across disciplines with internal and external partners * Able to manage own time and workload to deliver against agreed targets, set both on short-term and medium-term timescales. * Able to identify and solve, from first principles, unusual/ complex technical problems. Knowledge necessary depending on the field of deployment: - Creating systems using sensors, actuators, control systems etc. - Wiring and safety engineering - Power engineering - PC architecture - EMC application & testing - ESD application & testing - Motion Control Job Type: Permanent.
