Our client is seeking a talented  Engineer with experience in Civil Engineering to join a forward-thinking infrastructure team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging and high-impact projects, with a particular focus on Aviation and Highways sectors.

Responsibilities

• Creating 3D models using Civil 3D software, including earthworks, pavements (highway or aviation), and alignments.
• Converting 3D models into detailed designs.
• Coordinating the production of detailed drawings and specifications, ensuring they meet technical standards and industry regulations.
• Collaborating with other design disciplines to develop design models, calculations, and sketches.
• Overseeing the quality of drawing production and providing guidance to junior colleagues.
• Reviewing consultants’ and contractors’ design proposals and ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Managing document uploads and downloads within the project’s document management system.
• Following BIM protocols and office document standards.
• Providing essential support to the project team, assisting in preparing fee proposals, and contributing to project meetings and client discussions.
• Participating in site inspections and producing surveys when required.

About you

• Proficiency in creating 3D models and extracting sections and quantities using Civil 3D software.
• Knowledge of design guides specific to Aviation and/or Highways sectors.
• Strong understanding of relevant engineering legislation, industry standards, and best practices.
• Experience with engineering software and tools, as well as the application of technical design knowledge.
• A commercial mindset with an awareness of time and budget constraints.
