Although the rail industry takes the lions share of their workload, they are involved in various other engineering sectors such as energy, heavy civil and transportation.
Although you will join the business as a CAD Technician, you will constantly develop.
This consultancy is keen for all staff to take advantage of training and support, allowing you to learn new skills such as business development, running and delivering projects, client management as well as brushing up on your current skillset.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior CAD Technician to join a growing design team in their Western Edinburgh office.
As a CAD Technician, you will play a crucial role in all projects, assisting in the design and drafting of engineering plans and blueprints across Rail and Bridge sectors, UK wide.
Key Requirements:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must.
- Preferred additional experience in Civils3D and MicroStation.
- Background in rail/bridge projects.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for precision.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers and design teams to create accurate and detailed drawings.
- Work on a variety of engineering projects, with a focus on rail-related design and drafting.
- Utilise AutoCAD, Civils3D, and MicroStation software to produce high-quality technical drawings.
- Review and revise drawings to ensure they meet project specifications.
- Assist in maintaining project documentation and records.
