Structural Project Engineer

We’re representing a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering firm with a strong national presence that’s seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join their growing team in Melbourne, FL.

This role offers the opportunity to lead structural engineering projects from concept through construction while working closely with in-house MEP, civil, and architectural teams. You'll serve as both the technical lead and client liaison—balancing design excellence, project coordination, and team leadership to ensure successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead structural design efforts on a variety of building projects, from initial concept to construction completion.

• Serve as the primary structural contact for clients, project partners, and internal teams.

• Manage project schedules, coordinate discipline tasks, and ensure quality technical execution.

• Collaborate with other departments for fully integrated design solutions.

• Represent the structural discipline in meetings, presentations, and technical reviews.

• Mentor junior staff and support their technical development.

What We're Looking For:

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with at least 9 years of experience in the AEC consulting industry.

• Strong expertise in structural design and building systems.

• Proven ability to manage mid- to large-scale projects or support large, complex efforts.

• Skilled in project planning, task delegation, and design documentation.

• Confident communicator with experience engaging both internal teams and external clients.

• Familiarity with construction costs and value-engineering strategies.
