Structural Engineer EIT

We are seeking a Structural Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to join a fast-growing engineering team in New York City. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants hands-on design experience, real project ownership, and exposure to a wide variety of building projects across the city.

You will work closely with experienced engineers and architects on projects from early concept through construction, gaining practical experience with the types of buildings that shape the New York skyline.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform structural analysis and design for new and existing building structures

• Develop calculations, drawings, and technical documentation for permit and construction

• Contribute to the design of residential, mixed-use, and commercial buildings across NYC

• Support building renovations, structural alterations, and adaptive reuse projects

• Participate in NYC DOB filings, inspections, and construction phase coordination

• Collaborate with architects, developers, and contractors to deliver efficient structural solutions

• Assist with site visits and field investigations to document existing conditions

• Work with senior engineers on structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood

What They’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

• 2–4 years of structural engineering experience

• Experience with structural design for building projects

• Familiarity with design software such as ETABS, RAM, RISA, or similar tools

• Working knowledge of NYC Building Code and local construction practices is a plus

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment

• EIT certification or on the path toward PE licensure preferred
