About the Role
We are seeking a Structural Engineer with 5–10 years of experience to support the design and delivery of large-scale new build developments across Central Florida. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on structural design but is also ready to grow into a Project Management role, taking increasing ownership of projects, client coordination, and internal team leadership.
You’ll work on a diverse portfolio of projects including multifamily, mixed-use, commercial, industrial, and large residential developments, collaborating closely with architects, developers, and internal engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Structural Design

Design and analyze structural systems for large new-build projects using concrete, steel, masonry, and wood

Develop full construction document packages including calculations, plans, details, and specifications

Ensure designs comply with Florida Building Code, ASCE, ACI, AISC, and local jurisdiction requirements

Perform site visits, field observations, and construction administration support as needed
Project & Client Involvement

Begin managing portions of projects including scope, schedules, and coordination with internal teams

Support client communication and participate in project meetings with architects, developers, and contractors

Assist with proposal development, fee estimates, and project planning

Coordinate across disciplines to ensure efficient and buildable structural solutions
Team & Growth

Mentor junior engineers and designers

Review calculations, drawings, and deliverables prepared by staff

Actively develop project management skills with a clear growth path toward Project Engineer / Project Manager
Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

5–10 years of structural engineering experience (U.S. based projects required)

Experience designing large new build developments (multifamily, commercial, mixed-use, or similar)

Strong knowledge of Florida codes and permitting processes

PE license required (Florida preferred or ability to obtain quickly)

Proficiency with structural analysis and design software (ETABS, RAM, RISA, SAFE, etc.)

Strong communication skills and interest in client-facing responsibilities
