Our client is offering a passionate Structural Engineer the opportunity to work an interesting portfolio that consists of the refurbishment of Carrubbers church in Edinburgh, West Calder Museum (Co-operative discovery center), various Castles, High end domestic extensions, the Boathouse at Loch Ard. Just to highlight a few.
The successful Structural Engineer will join a small design office of 15 problem solving engineers based in central Edinburgh, a short 15-minute walk from Princes Street.
The Structural Engineer will be given creative freedom to influence the design process and on occasion take the lead role on certain projects.
The ideal candidate will be problem solver with a genuine interest in conservation and historic building design.
The Structural Engineer profile is someone that will be comfortable working alone, managing own workloads and collaboratively with other engineers in the office. As a Structural Engineer you will report directly to the two directors although, all members of the office are happy to offer support and mentoring.
Although, working from home is a genuine option, the two directors are keen to be hands on and believe that this creates a close-knit design office environment.
