We’re working with a top-tier engineering consultancy that’s looking to hire a Site/Civil Engineer to join their growing team in either New York City or Melville, NY. This is a great opportunity for an early-career civil engineer who’s eager to work on diverse land development and infrastructure projects while gaining hands-on design experience in a collaborative, learning-focused environment.
Projects range from urban mixed-use and residential developments to higher education campuses, retail centers, and federal infrastructure initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the preparation and revision of reports, specifications, design plans, cost estimates, and construction schedules using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other industry tools.

Analyze geotechnical, hydrological, and topographic data from maps, site studies, and tests to inform project design and feasibility.

Contribute to the design of grading, stormwater management, erosion control, and utility layout.

Assist in coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success.

Gain exposure to local, state, and federal land use permitting processes.

Collaborate closely with senior engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

EIT certification required; PE license a plus.

Minimum 3 years of experience in site/civil engineering design.

Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Strong communication skills—written and verbal.

Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

Team-oriented with the ability to follow direction and contribute in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting.
