Site/Civil Engineer

We’re working with a top-tier engineering consultancy that’s looking to hire a Site/Civil Engineer to join their growing team in either New York City or Melville, NY. This is a great opportunity for an early-career civil engineer who’s eager to work on diverse land development and infrastructure projects while gaining hands-on design experience in a collaborative, learning-focused environment.

Projects range from urban mixed-use and residential developments to higher education campuses, retail centers, and federal infrastructure initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the preparation and revision of reports, specifications, design plans, cost estimates, and construction schedules using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other industry tools.

• Analyze geotechnical, hydrological, and topographic data from maps, site studies, and tests to inform project design and feasibility.

• Contribute to the design of grading, stormwater management, erosion control, and utility layout.

• Assist in coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success.

• Gain exposure to local, state, and federal land use permitting processes.

• Collaborate closely with senior engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

• EIT certification required; PE license a plus.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in site/civil engineering design.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

• Strong communication skills—written and verbal.

• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

• Team-oriented with the ability to follow direction and contribute in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting.
