Our client is a small but successful consultancy based in Truro who are seeking a senior structural engineer to join a busy and friendly team.

The role:

• Strong communication with clients and other members of the design team;
• To play a leading role in the design and administration of several projects at one time;
• Manage a small team to deliver projects in value of approximately £1m-£20m;
• To provide regular updates to the Directors and include management of fees, timescales and resourcing and ensure compliance;
• Carry out inspections and reports on building structures to identify defects and provide appropriate recommendations for the client’s consideration;
• Some flexibility on working at home would be offered to the right candidate.

About you:

• Ideally you will be a Chartered, or near chartered, senior engineer;
• Experienced in the design of building structures in all common materials across the major sectors (residential, commercial, and industrial);
• At least 5-7 years’ design experience;
• Proficient in using Tedds and Tekla Structures or similar types of software;
• You will require a full clean UK driving license.
