Our client is looking for a Senior / Principal Civil Engineer to join their growing team in Cambridge. They have a multitude of projects at various stages in their project lifecycle, from appraisal through to construction and in several different sectors.
These include residential, leisure, commercial, and retirement & care. Their clients range from local smaller scale businesses to local government, respected regional contractors, national housebuilders, and commercial developers.
The Role:
- Lead civil engineering design (drainage, highways, S278/S38)
- Oversee and mentor junior engineers, supporting ICE progression
- Manage resources and review design work
- Liaise with architects, developers, and local authorities
- Prepare fee proposals and uphold quality standards
- Use AutoCAD and Site 3D (or equivalent)
About You:
- Chartered or working towards CEng (ICE)
- Degree/HND in Civil Engineering
- Strong project and team management experience
- Skilled in coordinating with local authorities and stakeholders
- Confident handling projects across planning stages
