Project Engineer

My client in Huntingdon is currently in need of a Project engineer The Role: Your responsibilities will include: * Deliver engineering designs, taking method of manufacturing into account. * Support projects, taking a lead when necessary. * Production support for the ATD range of products including problem solving production issues. * Develop technical drawing skills using Solidworks and other CAD software. * Continuous improvement of products and production. * Produce technical documents, reports and presentations for both internal and external use. * Research and investigate technologies and processes to ensure that the Company remains aware of latest developments. * Provide technical support to sales, customers, and production. Ensure a close working relationship with sales making sure that customer needs are met. · * Ensure effective communication and coordination with customers and suppliers. · * Ensure technical specifications are available for all relevant project and production equipment/ materials. * Ensure that production support work is reported and stored in the Technical Library. * Identify and source Regulations and Standards to support product development. * Create, review, and sign off test reports and CofC’s. * Any additional work identified as necessary for the smooth operation of the business You will also have an understanding of general manufacturing techniques and engineering materials including moulded plastics, metals, and sensors. With Good 3D CAD skills (preferably Solidworks) needed for the preparation of manufacturing drawings and document control during the production process. The Salary is £40,000 per annum.
