About the Role:
You will be a key member of the team helping us transform the business and finding solutions making the world a smarter place for tomorrow. Covering a wide range of products, from initial enquiry to delivery and installation, including new product designs, AMR/AGV’s, robotics, grippers & accessories, bespoke control panels and advancing our award winning module robot system ‘Hyve’.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record in a similar role and have a knowledge of the industry, be exceptionally organised and an enthusiastic individual who possesses an excellent work ethic.
Main Duties:
• Follow company processes to deliver control systems to programme schedules within budget
• Involvement in designing, modifying, and testing of PLC/SCADA and HMI applications
• Full hardware/software development across multiple industry sectors
• Support creation of technical documents, project meetings and customer witness testing
• Hands-on experience with methods of fabrication to include machining and 3D printing
• Demonstrable expertise using CAD software (preferably Solidworks)
• Experience working with 3rd party suppliers of high-precision, low-volume, custom-designed parts.
• Confidence communicating with colleagues from multi-disciplinary backgrounds across optics and instrument design to understand and present design goals and constraints.
• Promote Applied Integration UK’s products and services to existing clients and potential new clients
• To be aware of and comply with Company Standards of Conduct and all relevant statutory requirements
• To carry out any other reasonable management request
Essential Job Specific Skills & Qualification:
• Experienced with using PLC systems
• Experienced with using SCADA/HMI applications
• Experienced with using Serial Interfaces (Modbus, RS422 and RS232)
• Capable of fault diagnosis within IT and PLC/SCADA System architectures
• Possess an Electrical and Mechanical aptitude, ability to interpret electrical, mechanical and hydraulic drawings
• Experience of designing small/complex assemblies (including electronics, sensors, actuators, mechanisms)
• Able user and programmer Python, C#, JavaScript, gRPC, REST
• Comfortable both writing software and getting involved in test & assembly
• Design and test prototypes – working on cutting edge technology
• Good electro-mechanical experience – design & test e.g. PCBs, motors, actuators etc.
• Experience using version management tools (preferably Solidworks PDM)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure
• Highly organised and self-motivated
• Excellent attention to detail whilst able to grasp the bigger picture
• Advanced level of using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio and Access)
• Able to use own initiative and work without supervision
• Flexibility to undertake ad-hoc UK & European travel as required
• Ability to travel with full driving license
