We supply pumps and flow meters for almost any fluid – water, oils, solvents, flammable liquids, food and pharmaceutical products. Our products are suitable for transferring, emptying, mixing, filling and metering fluids. Key industries served include manufacturing, surface finishing, paints & lacquers, petrochemical, foods, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, water treatment & agriculture. The Flux range is centred on the highly reliable, fully serviceable, F400 series barrel & IBC pumps. We also manufacture the CombiFlux battery operated container pump - the World's first battery pump with heavy-duty brushless motor for industrial use. Other products include air or electric operated one-touch filling systems, air operated diaphragm pumps, hygienic pumps and progressive cavity pumps for handling high viscosity fluids. We also supply ViscoFlux drum emptying systems for products that do not flow readily, eg. tomato paste or cosmetic cream. Accessories include hoses, dispense nozzles, flow meters and IBC mixers. Flux products conform to all major standards, eg. EC machinery directive, 3A, FDA, GS, UL, CSA and ATEX directive for explosion-hazardous areas. Please check customer feedback on our website. The Role We have an exciting opportunity to join our small, friendly team. The Electro-Mechanical Engineer role is primarily an office based technical position reporting to the UK Director and will require a high degree of IT knowledge and mechanical / electrical technical aptitude, as well as an ability to communicate at all levels. Training will be provided at our factory, based near Stuttgart in Germany. Electro-Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities * Gain detailed knowledge of the Flux range of pumps, mixers and pumping applications. * Assemble programmable filling and liquid batch control systems for both electric and air driven pumps, including mobile trolley mounted solutions. * Manage outsourced electrical, fabrication and welding work and ensure orders/projects are delivered on time. * Specify and design custom parts as required using CAD software. * Answer sales enquiries, use ERP system and assist external sales staff with technical issues. * Occasionally commission equipment at customer sites. * Assist with stock control and planning. * Set up new part numbers and suppliers in ERP system. * Place orders with suppliers using business management software. * Build relationships and be conscious of customer needs. * Undertake repairs on Flux pumps and motors. Electro-Mechanical Engineer Skills and Experience * Qualified to HND / degree level in mechanical / electrical engineering or similar. * Minimum 5 years experience in full-time employment. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a key requirement for the role. * Ability to challenge and question in order to ultimately satisfy the customer’s needs. * Possess strong IT administration skills. * Experience with Microsoft Office suite is essential. * Vision and drive to implement change and bring efficiency improvements. * Desire to succeed and help profitably grow the business. * Experience working with pumps or motors would be beneficial. Additional Requirements * A desire and ability to learn, develop and improve on new and existing skills. * A desire to work in a small and friendly team. * Ability to adapt to a variety of tasks as required within a small business. * Ability to work independently using own initiative. * Flexible team player. * Fluent English speaker. * Possess a Full UK Driving Licence. Working Hours 8.30 - 17.15 Mon to Thurs with 30 minutes for lunch, 8.30 - 13.00 on Friday. Working Environment Work will primarily be office based, however, there will occasionally be a requirement to travel to customers within the UK.
