Factory Electrical Engineer The Food Machinery Co. Ltd. is actively seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team to join our team and work on our specialist range of industrial food processing and packaging machinery. We supply machinery to the Food Processing sector throughout the UK and Ireland with clients ranging from major PLC’s to smaller independent producers. Our supply of machinery can range from stand alone manual bag sealers to full turnkey automated production lines, including robotics. The ideal candidate will have the following qualities: Ideal experience: 1. Good understanding of industrial electrical principles including high current power circuits and low voltage control circuits. 2. Basic understanding of PLC’s 3. Basic mechanical knowledge including pneumatics 4. Maintain safe working practices Essentials: 1. Maintain safe working practices 2. Self-motivated, driven, and able to work without direct supervision 3. Able to understand electrical drawings 4. Good knowledge of safety systems 5. Minimum 17th edition qualification 6. Self-motivated, professional team player 7. Full clean driving licence due to our factory’s rural location, own transport will be required 8. Able to work away occasionally The Role You will be mainly based at our factory in Kent where you will work alongside our team of engineers. You will support all new projects from sale through to delivery. Your daily tasks will include: 1. Build electrical control cabinets from component level 2. Build and wire systems electrically and mechanically 3. Carry out modifications to existing machines 4. Install new or upgrade existing safety systems 5. Work alongside with team members on all projects The Benefits 1.
