Design Engineer (Mechanical)

The Company has a young, vibrant workforce and is a market leader and due to expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Designer for their offices based just south of Chester. The company are looking for a Designer to be responsible for the following: * Liaising between key departments on project details * Reacting to feedback from relevant departments on project efficiency, buildability and technical issues * Providing complex assembly build sequences and liaise with installation team * Ensure information is communicated to colleagues and to suppliers. * Converting GA’s & SD’s elevations into a 3D CAD assembly outputting as 3D Solidworks drawings. * Creating CAM files and saw cut lists for various machines. * Processing of information into internal ERP system for checking & component ordering * Inputting & checking aluminium parts uploaded onto the internal ERP system * Communicating between departments and suppliers via PIRA & PIRP’s when information is released for production. The ideal Designer will be enthusiastic, with a keen interest in design and with experience of CAM. They will have a natural tendency to have a high attention to detail and highly organised working process will be required. Key skill requirements * Proficient with CAM * Good understanding of 3D Studio Max preferable but not essential * Good understanding of Microsoft office * Good interpersonal and communication skills * Self managed, motivated and hard working * Knowledge of the construction or architectural business preferable The client is offering a salary of £35-45k depending on experience, with flexible working hours, and remote working if preferred.
