This Civil Engineering Practice and Office Leader opportunity puts you at the helm of a Charlotte, NC office, providing leadership for civil site development projects while driving business growth and mentoring a multidisciplinary team.

Lead and grow the office’s civil engineering operations, shaping the vision and direction of the practice

Work on complex site development projects from concept through completion, integrating geotechnical, environmental, and civil engineering solutions
What You’ll Do:

Develop and execute strategic growth plans in collaboration with firm leadership

Identify and pursue new clients, expand work with existing clients, and participate in business development meetings

Provide technical oversight and guidance for site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, and utility design

Lead hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and stormwater management design
-
Review and approve project deliverables, proposals, and technical reports
-
Guide workforce planning and hiring initiatives for the office

Ensure high-quality project execution while maintaining client satisfaction and profitability
What You Bring:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
-
15+ years of site/civil engineering experience with a focus on local, large- and small-scale site development projects
-
Professional Engineer (PE) license for the state of employment

Established network of regional clientele and strong client development skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D preferred

Experience in technical and proposal writing

Strong analytical, multitasking, and leadership skills

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client and site visits
