About the Opportunity
Our recruitment team is partnering with a respected full‑service consulting firm with offices in New York City and Princeton, NJ to find a skilled Bridge Engineer who’s ready to take on greater responsibility and visibility. You’ll help shape the transportation network across New York and New Jersey by balancing bridge design, inspection, rehabilitation and construction support work for major agencies such as NYSDOT, NJDOT and the MTA.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver bridge designs, structural analysis and detailing for new and existing structures.

• Lead inspections, load ratings and evaluations in accordance with AASHTO, NYSDOT and NJDOT standards.

• Develop plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates.

• Provide construction support, including shop drawing reviews, RFIs and field coordination.

• Mentor junior staff and contribute to proposal development and project planning.

Your Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).

• 5+ years of bridge engineering experience in design, inspection and rehabilitation.

• Proficiency in STAAD, SAP2000 and LARSA; AutoCAD or MicroStation experience is a plus.

• Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD and NY/NJ public agency standards; PE license in NY or NJ preferred.

• Excellent communication and planning skills with a collaborative mindset.
