Position Overview:

The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of civil engineering design and analysis tasks, from site planning to stormwater management, utility coordination, and zoning analysis. This role also involves client engagement, project leadership, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform site planning, stormwater management, utility layout, grading, and parking analysis.
• Lead coordination and presentations with local municipalities, agencies, and planning boards.
• Conduct site investigations to document and assess existing conditions.
• Prepare and review design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Oversee project plans and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Provide engineering solutions and responses during the construction administration phase.
• Engage with existing clients and pursue new business opportunities across multiple service lines.
• Support proposal development and represent the firm at industry and business development events.
• Mentor and develop junior engineering staff.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 7+ years of civil engineering experience.
• NY PE license required.
• Strong understanding of local code requirements and zoning regulations.
• Experience with structural analysis software.
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D proficiency required.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and project management skills.
