We are looking in full-time (100 %) for a Professor Open Rank in Data Science f/m/d.
Your responsibilities
- Conduct high-impact, original research in data science, statistical/machine learning, or related fields, with applications to business problems and secure external funding to support research initiatives
- Develop and deliver courses in machine learning, statistical learning, and related areas at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive education levels
- Mentor and advise students, guiding them in academic and career development
- Participate in departmental service and administrative tasks as required and engage with the business community to foster partnerships and collaborations
Your profile
- A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics, or related fields
- A strong record of scholarly achievement, including publications in top-tier field journals. Experience in securing research funding is highly desirable. Industry experience or collaboration with the business community is a plus
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university level
- Expertise in data science methodologies, including machine learning, AI, big data analytics, and statistical learning and modeling. Proficiency in relevant programming languages such as R, Python and SQL (a plus)
