Electrical Project Engineering Consultant

PM Group requires electrical engineering support on a chemicals site in the North West. Responsibilities * Providing electrical expertise and electrical technical guidance to the project team. * Developing electrical elements of the project design. * Leading the electrical design team through various project stages. * Creating cost estimates and ensuring electrical elements of the project are delivered on schedule and within budget. * Updating key stakeholders on electrical progress. * Working as part of the project team, working to deliver a portfolio of capital projects. * Working with the project team to deliver the project documentation and drawings. * Working alongside existing client engineers, managers, and directors. * Acting as a client representative in meetings and discussions with third party vendors. * Creating tender documentation, working through the tender process, engaging potential suppliers/contractors and providing in-depth tender analysis on bid returns. * Attending and overseeing testing on site and off site. * Working alongside third party contractors and offering input into electrical design and installation. * Collaborating with other client departments and offering technical support as required. * Ensuring the delivery of projects in a way that is compliant with EU and UK health and safety regulations, as well as client procedures and protocols. * Participating HAZOPS and other process safety reviews/events. * General improvement, quality design, and risk management for electrical elements of the projects. * Developing engineering standards that support project delivery. * Other responsibilities in-keeping with the electrical engineering role. Qualifications * Candidates must have proven experience of working as an electrical engineer on multiple chemical projects. * Knowledge of standard industry practices, procedures and safety measures is essential. * Candidates must be excellent communicators, able to lead and focus a multi-disciplined engineering team. * The successful candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to challenge and work with other technical engineers and project stakeholders Job Type: Contract.
