Civil/Geotechnical Project Engineer

We're looking for Geotechnical Engineers who can turn complex soil data into safe, innovative foundation designs.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll balance field engineering, technical design, and client collaboration while contributing to projects from concept to completion. You will:

• Manage and perform field quality control tests, document production records, and ensure quality assurance per Menard’s standards.

• Collaborate with the engineering team to perform geotechnical and structural analyses, contributing to ground improvement design and execution.

• Prepare geotechnical designs, cost estimates, and proposals based on your interpretation of subsurface data and project documents.

• Participate in client meetings, technical presentations, and trade events to represent Menard’s expertise and capabilities.

• Maintain accurate project documentation, invoices, and submittals throughout the project lifecycle.

What You’ll Bring

You’re an engineer who thrives in both technical and practical environments. You bring:

• A solid understanding of geotechnical principles and foundation design.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (Master’s preferred).

• 3–8 years of experience in geotechnical design, field engineering, or ground improvement.

• Excellent written and verbal communication for collaborating with clients, contractors, and design teams.

• The ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and take initiative in a dynamic environment.
