Associate Director (Bridges)

My client, an established engineering consultancy based in Swords, Dublin is actively seeking an experienced Associate Director to join their thriving Bridge Design Team.

With a substantial portfolio of secured projects and a robust pipeline of exciting ventures, this role offers a great opportunity for career advancement. The successful candidate will have the potential to progress to Technical Director with support from an experienced senior management team.

Experienced Principal Bridge Engineers who can demonstrate the skills required below will also be considered for this position. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a local team of Bridge engineers.
• Manage tender bids for contracts and actively attract new clients.
• Provide design input and oversee the delivery of structural aspects of projects.
• Manage medium and large-sized projects, ensuring quality, timelines, and budgets are delivered.
• Effectively communicate with internal and external parties, including clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.
   

Desirable Skills and Attributes:

• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and hardworking, with a flexible approach.
• Proactive approach with a track record of delivering high-quality services to clients in both the public and private sectors.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in bridge design, inspection, assessment, and rehabilitation.
• Proficient in Eurocodes and structural analysis software (MIDAS Civil or LUSAS).
• Experience in the design and refurbishment of concrete, steel, and masonry structures.
• Ireland and/or UK experience.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Bridge Engineer (CEng, MIStructE, or equivalent).

• €85,000 - €95,000 + €6500 Car allowance.
