STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

They have a vacancy for a Structural Engineer in their successful team in London, where you will contribute to a diverse range of challenging projects.  The successful Structural Engineer will have at least 2 years’ experience working within a UK consultancy and be keen to deliver high quality design.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis and prepare design calculations, drawings, and reports with minimal supervision from a Senior Engineer, ensuring they are ready for review by other team members
• Design using various engineering materials such as concrete, steel, masonry, timber, as well as soils, foundations, and drainage systems
• Apply relevant design codes, including Eurocodes, British Standards, and CDM Regulations
• Support Senior Engineers throughout project design phases, from initiation to completion
• Perform thorough site investigations, inspections, and resolve any issues that arise
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other construction professionals
• Attend site and client meetings and engage with clients and other professionals
• Ensure clear communication regarding structural safety and stay informed on industry updates

Software Requirements

• AutoCAD, Tekla, and Revit proficiency

Qualifications

• BEng/MEng or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
