Own Complex Site Projects:
Lead civil site design efforts across commercial, institutional, federal, and mixed-use developments—covering grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and erosion & sediment control.
Be the Technical Authority:
Perform and oversee hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, stormwater modeling, and technical studies while ensuring designs comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
Lead & Mentor Teams:
Manage and mentor engineers and designers, guide project teams through all phases of design, and ensure quality, schedule, and budget performance.
Client-Facing Impact:
Work directly with owners, architects, and contractors, providing consulting services and strengthening long-term client relationships.
Influence Business Growth:
Support proposal development, fee strategies, and qualification-based pursuits while participating in marketing and business development initiatives.
Work Across Disciplines:
Collaborate closely with structural, MEP, fire protection, and construction management teams on fully integrated project deliveries.
What you’ll need to succeed:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited program

Professional Engineer (PE) license required

10–15 years of civil/land development experience

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and civil design software

Experience with stormwater modeling tools (HydroCAD, StormCAD, SWMM or similar)

Deep knowledge of site grading, earthwork, utilities, drainage, and erosion control

Experience delivering projects in MD, DC, and VA jurisdictions preferred

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Local AHJ experience and industry involvement are strong pluses
