Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer (Injection Moulding / Medical) This position will appeal to driven individuals who relish taking ownership and leading design projects. Applicants should be self-motivated, positive in nature with a creative mindset and with the ability to communicate enthusiastically within a team environment. Ideally qualified to HND / Degree level in Mechanical Engineering, you will have previous demonstrable experience and knowledge of the following elements : - * 3D CAD (Solidworks / ProEngineer) * Low and high-volume manufacturing and assembly techniques * Plastics and Injection Moulding * Mathematical modelling and FEA * Tolerance analysis including statistical methodology. * Product/Prototype analysis, testing and verification. Although not essential, applicants with experience of the following disciplines would be advantaged. * Strong analysis and practical problem-solving abilities * Excellent oral, written and diagrammatic communication skills * Creativity, innovation and attention to detail * The ability to work in a multidisciplinary team with other engineers * The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines * Previous experience working on medical equipment/devices The position will involve significant client interaction; the ability to communicate well with the flexibility to travel from time to time is essential.
