6th WCM Summer School on Maintenance Management & Engineering
The maintenance organisation of the Royal Netherlands Navy (RNLN) in Den Helder DMI (Directie Materiële Instandhouding) will be providing a real business case regarding Maintenance Engineering & Management. The Navy has a significant fleet of highly complex ships that are operated all around the world and DMI has to maintain this fleet for both peacetime and peacekeeping missions.
The main question and challenge for you during the Summer School is to think about how DMI can optimize the maintenance of their assets by introducing some of the available maintenance innovations, e.g. predictive maintenance, asset life cycle management, design for maintenance. The case has both technical and organizational aspects.
The solutions will be projected on real assets maintained by DMI. The results of your work will help DMI create maximum value for their stakeholders.
