Students who have reached the appropriate honours standard may have access to a range of Masters Degrees in DIT and elsewhere in Higher Education. Learning Outcomes: What will I Study? Students enter the common second year for the Civil & Structural Engineering Degrees following the completion of a common first year programme in Engineering (DT066). Students commencing the third year Degree programmes may be offered a choice of the Civil or Structural Engineering degree. Places are limited and successful students will be offered places depending on their performance in Year 2. All students will be offered a place on one of the programmes. Subjects studied include mathematics, surveying, construction technology, design of structures, soil mechanics, computing, highway engineering transportation, hydraulics, environmental engineering and laboratory work.
