Aerospace Technology is an exciting field of study that prepares graduates for entry-level positions in the aerospace and aeronautics industry. Graduates also will qualify for many applied technology jobs such as testing, fabrication, assembly, repair and manufacturing. Aerospace Technology is a two-year Associate of Science degree program that consists of 64 credit hours. Students may choose from a daytime or an evening schedule. Students will learn basic soldering skills, wire wrapping, potting, crimping, cabled lacing and repair, troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical circuits and how to assemble, operate, inspect and test fluid systems. Program participants also will learn advanced concepts and skills allowing them to create a structural fabrication project per drawings and specifications, demonstrate knowledge of specialized tools and devices, accurately read blueprints, understand geometric dimensioning and tolerances, as well as identify precision measuring and test equipment.
