•Provide engineering support and leadership within a Systems Integration & Test task for a flight or technology demonstration project, and be a member of the Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test Section (3130).
•Participate in the overall planning, direction, cost, schedule and technical aspects of the System Integration activities.
•Work within leadership team to identify and negotiate receivables and deliverables across and between the various project elements.
•Participate in the integration of the system and direct the work of individuals on the test team, including the day-to-day operations, execution of the tests and providing the test results as required.
•Maintain the safety and security of personnel and hardware during all activities.
•Support critical project milestones and reviews as required.
•Provide team mentoring as needed.
•Provide status and coordination with line management, project management, and other project leadership as required.
•Work in conjunction with systems engineering and subsystem delivery elements to ensure a thorough and successful end-to-end test program for the hardware and software used in the SI&T venue.
•Report programmatically to System I&T management, or Flight System Management and administratively to the System Integration, Test & Launch (313B) Group Supervisor.

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline with typically a minimum of 9 years related experience; Master’s degree in similar discipline with a minimum of 7 years related experience; or PhD in similar disciplines with a minimum of 5 years related experience.
•Proven ability to plan and manage complex technical, financial, workforce and schedule resources.
•Experience planning, organizing, executing, and participating in system integration and test activities.
•Demonstrated skills leading large multi-disciplinary, multi-organizational teams.
•Demonstrated ability in System Test Bed and/or system I&T environment.
•Ability to react to frequent changes in plans and excel in a rapid pace concurrent engineering environment.
•Expertise in electrical and/or mechanical integration and system test. Team player with exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to operate effectively with little oversight. •Demonstrated experience in testing of systems, including test planning, test procedure development, and data analysis.
•Proven ability to successfully collaborate with other technical organizations, both inside and outside JPL. Significant experience participating in /or leading JPL System Integration, Test, and Launch Operations activities.
•Experience planning (storyboarding) and executing spacecraft mechanical assembly activities.
•Experience planning, coordinating, and executing launch site activities.
•Experience in the coordination and execution of a system level Verification and Validation (V&V) program as related to System Testbeds and/or system integration and test.
•Experience performing System Integration & Test and/or supporting Mission Operations.
•Experience dealing with Contamination Control for flight missions.
•Experience planning and executing electrical integration, functional checkout and system test activities.
•Experience planning and executing flight vehicle environmental test program.
•Experience executing logistics activities for large spacecraft (testbed and flight vehicle) assemblies.
•Complete knowledge of Laboratory policies and procedures, NASA policies and procedures, and government regulations across a range of applications.
•Understanding of the proper application of JPL design principles, flight project practices, (flight) hardware handling constraints, and the JPL risk management practices.
