Job Summary:

The person hired for this position will be responsible for New Products and marketed products for hearing protection products.  This position will support projects that positively impact product service, performance, and quality.  This individual will work closely with R&D, Manufacturing, and Technical Service personnel, and will report directly to the Quality Supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Working knowledge and experience of global regulatory requirements and expectations for PPE.
  • Supporting and/or leading efforts on product performance improvements via performance testing and product aging.
  • Designing, directing and conducting performance and stability studies for PPE products, to satisfy global regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to critically assess and statistically evaluate stability data to support establishment of specifications.
  • Independently authors well-written critical technical documentation in the form of technical memos.
  • Staying current with global regulations and ensure compliance for PSD products, especially those in the Hearing Protection Solutions.
  • Mentoring and coaching the organization on applied statistical methods in quality engineering [Gage Reproducibility and Repeatability (R&R), inferential statistics, process control and capability].
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of three (3) year of combined quality, engineering, laboratory, manufacturing and/or product development experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of three (3) years combined experience as a Quality Engineer and/or Product Engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge and experience of global regulatory requirements and expectations for PPE
