Your Role:

At MilliporeSigma, the Senior Product Development Engineer will be working in the Single Use and Integrated Systems R&D Team. This group uses MilliporeSigma’s stage-gate based Product Development Process to commercialize new products for the Bioprocess/Pharmaceutical Manufacturing industry.

  • Work on projects that range from the design, development and validation of new plastic components and flexible assemblies to support the development of unit operations equipment
  • Interface optimally with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Product Management functions and provide technical guidance & leadership on multi-functional teams
Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Plastics, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 9 years of professional experience


  • Master’s Degree in Plastics, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven innovative product design skill
  • Experience leading product development projects through a stage gate process with formal Design Control requirements
  • Experience using product design CAD software, and other computer modeling techniques
  • Experience in manufacturing equipment and fixturing design
  • Experience working with manufacturing and process development activities such as qualification, validation, design of experiments, FMEA and design for manufacturing
  • Proficient in engineering problem solving, experimental design and data analysis
  • Understanding of thermoplastics and manufacturing techniques, specifically injection molding, extrusion, heat bonding and ultrasonic bonding
