Position Summary:

TheProposal Managersupports the Buildings & Infrastructure division in the Florida& Puerto Rico geography andis a valuable team member withinJacobs' Sales Team, which drives strategic pursuits and helps buildrelationships with our core clients.The Proposal Manager will developand support sales activities and lead RFQ/P response in the pursuit ofBuildings & Infrastructure design and construction projects for public andprivate sector clients.The Proposal Manager plays an important role working withoperations and sales staff to provide professional sales and marketing servicesthat result in the production of strategically focused, professional-lookingqualifications documents such as proposals, presentations, and statements ofqualification. The ideal candidate is organized, accountable, and demonstratesresponsibility for meeting deadlines and following through oncommitments. This position would be ideally suited to a proposalprofessional with experience in the transportation sector and in particularfamiliarity with FDOT.

TheProposal Manager works collaboratively with Client Account Managers, ClientService Leaders and Operations staff to produce original andstrategically-focused response documents.

Lead,coordinate and develop sales documents using applicable tools, guidelines, andtemplates

Lead,develop and implement proposal directives and other opportunity response plansand monitor progress

Organizeand participate in response-related meetings (internal and/or client), asappropriate.

Develop draft sections of sales documents, including original writing, thatcommunicateJacobs' value and support the sales message

Proofreadand edit technical and non-technical documents for accuracy and consistency.

Leadand coordinate and/or manage production of response documents

Conductappropriate internal/external research and respond to internal requests forinformation.

Developnew or update existing sales qualification materials for current and futurepursuit efforts.

Participatein in-house business development activities as appropriate


At least 5 years’ experience as a proposal manager or senior coordinator within an AEC company is required, experience in the transportation sector, FDOT in particular, is preferred.

Experience using Adobe Creative Suite particularly InDesign desirable.

Bachelor's degree preferably in a business, marketing, communication, technical, or other related field is preferred

Language: Excellent verbal and written communication skills including writing and speaking succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles; can get messages across that have the desired effect; effective in a variety of presentation settings (one-on-one, small and large groups with peers, direct reports and managers).

Strong research and market analysis skills to facilitate development of optimal communications pieces preferred

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Must be organized, able to manage multiple, simultaneous projects, and work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines

Other: Work may be required after hours and on weekends, sometimes on short notice; flexibility and ability to travel preferred (typically within Florida).

Location: Tampa or Fort Lauderdale preferred, other Florida locations may be considered for the right candidate.
