Junior Electrical Controls Engineer


  • Perform calibration, maintenance and updates of the Facility Monitoring System.
  • Ensure the validated state of all equipment, systems and facilities and compliance with all applicable cGMP, OSHA, DEC, EPA and local government regulations.
  • Research, development, design, layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairs and improvement of all manufacturing equipment and plant utility systems.
  • Develop and implement improvements to increase equipment efficiency and safety.
  • Improve plant efficiency, capacity, and capability and modernization objectives.
  • Assist with capital improvement projects, including: acquisition, installation, startup and documentation.
  • Rebuild and upgrade utility systems, formulation, filling and packaging equipment.
  • Act as a technical resource to the Engineering, Maintenance and Validation departments to meet all regulatory and company specific policy requirements
  • Develop relationships with key vendors for technical support and for assistance in hardware applications.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S.; Visa sponsorship will not be provided
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 0-2 years related experience
    • Recent grads in 2018/2017 with internship experience encouraged to apply
  • Preferred experience/knowledge of:
    • The National Electric Code
    • High voltage (up to 460V)
    • Machine controls & PLCs
    • Relay logic
    • Motor controls (VFDs and servo)
    • Temperature and pressure controls
    • Operator interfaces (HMIs)
  • Proficiency reading electrical schematics and ladder logic preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills required
