ESPC Project Developer

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Designs and implements new energy efficiency projects that involve installation of large mechanical and electrical equipment and systems

  • Selects subcontractor/Subconsultant team using RFP process, formulates project budget, interfaces with AECOM Federal/Safety and Finance groups

  • Consults with internal subject matter experts and external design engineers to provide on-going improvements and report documentation, definitions and methods and procedures associated with complex utility plan sequence of operations

  • Performs project planning and scheduling using project management and collaboration software including Primavera Project Planner and MS Project

  • Performs contract administration and conducts weekly meetings with clients and subcontractors to review recently completed work, plan upcoming work, and reconcile issues as they arise

  • Monitors project progress, safety, quality, schedule and overall performance

  • Reviews technical specifications, reconcile design issues and perform quality check of final deliveries

  • Prepares project proposals, develops and maintains the relevant standards, policies and procedures

  • Reviews and recommends approval of invoices and change orders

  • Reviews project budget and schedule changes and take appropriate actions to offset any negative effect on the budget and schedule

  • Trains, mentors, and develops staff

  • Reviews and approves construction material submittals

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field

  • 10+ years of experience

  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or LEED AP

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in relevant field (energy efficiency, alternative energy, and/or sustainability)

  • Professional Engineering Certification

  • Project Management Professional certification

  • Safety training, such as OSHA 40

  • Successful management of an ESPC

  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems based on ISO 9001
